Board of Parish Education

Aware of our calling to equip the saints for mission and ministry, Welcome Lutheran focuses strongly on Christian education for all its members and offers a variety of educational opportunities.

Sunday School

8:45-9:45 am

Each Sunday, kids of all ages gather in the Parish Hall at 8:45am for morning refreshments, announcements, singing and a brief opening devotional before they are dismissed to their classrooms.

Bible Study

Adult Class, Sundays 8:45-9:45 am, meet in Education Building.

Teen Class, Sundays 8:45-9:45 am, meet upstairs in Sanctuary.

Confirmation Class of 2017

Confirmation classes for Grades 7th-8th are held on Sundays 8:45-9:45 am, Sanctuary Balcony. Here at Welcome Lutheran we are dedicated to educating our junior high youth in such a way that they are firmly grounded in the Lutheran tradition and committed to life long learning and service of Christ.

Rally Day and Blessing of the Backpacks

To kick off the new Sunday School year, Rally Day is held each year on the Sunday before the school year begins, at the church during the Sunday School hour starting at 8:45am. This is a great time for adults and children of all ages to get involved in Sunday School. You will be able to learn about the various adult bible study classes, and the kids will be introduced to their teachers and classrooms. Children should bring their school backpacks to be blessed during the 7:45 and 10:00am worship services.

Vacation Bible School 2018

Vacation Bible School is conducted each summer in connection with the Industry United Methodist Church. It takes on many different themes and is well attended by all. This partnership allows us to share our lives in Christ and strengthen our bonds with our neighbors up the road.   The entire community is welcome and encouraged to share this learning experience with us!

In 2018, VBS will be held here at Welcome Lutheran on June 18-22 from 8:3- am - 12:00 noon. The theme is Shipwrecked by Group.
